Best Advice Ever
Okay, I have to admit, sometimes my brother says some pretty smart stuff:
"Don't determine your career path strictly based on how much money (you think) you can make! It doesn't matter what you do, just do something you love. If you find something you truly love to do, you will excel and succeed because you WANT to do it. If you are the best janitor on earth, you will make more than a mediocre brain surgeon."
This may seem simple, but it's amazing how many people will make themselves miserable for a lifetime just to make some money...I'm am still completely floored that following that very advice has led to my success. I did not get into online retail/fashion because I thought I would make a lot of money. My goal was to do something I enjoyed and guess what? I'm making crazy money AND I'm happy.

6 Shenanigans:
Been there, done that. Did the IT thing for 13 years pre 9/11. After the towers fell, I did a little soul searching and realized I was chasing the dollar. I switched careers, make less cash, but am happy as hell.
Words of the wise your bro spoke. Should be crochet'd into an afghan and placed on the couch, so all who visit can be floored by his greatness ;-)
ha, no need for a blanket, he'll tell them himself ;-)
Summer is a sucess because she does something she loves. She works all the time, not because someone is telling her to..because what she does makes her happy. The money just pays rent, lift tickets, wine, Red Bulls, Dog Food, Electric Bills, Vegas Trips, Costa Rica Vacations, Surfboards...well, you get the point.
Your brother is the next Dalai Lama! (or something like that) hah
Excellent advice ... although Shawn got it from his cat Yashi ...
I truly believe that whatever your passion is, is what you're going to be good at and excell with. It can be anything. People see your enthusiasm, they get drawn to you. The worst co-workers I've ever had were people with long faces watching the clock.
so you mean, if I do what I love then eventually the money will come? wow, now I can pursue my dream of being a midget fluffer. sweetness. thanks for the advice summer!
