Too busy to work...
I planned on working this weekend, but apparently I have too many hobbies...
Friday: I worked a couple of hours and then Carrie showed up with her boat and we went wakeboarding on the Carlsbad Lagoon. We wakeboarded, had a couple of beers, went to dinner and turned in somewhat early so we could make our 11am tee time.
Saturday: Woke up with just enough time to pick up my golf clubs from Stefans house and made it the 11am tee time by 11:20 (whoops!). Golfed 18 holes at Emerald Isle in Oceanside, which, by the way, is the most ghetto golf course I have ever been on. After golf, Stefan and I went shopping, ate sushi and then headed over to Matt Armijo's house for poker. Long story short, I kicked some ass at poker and headed home with the loot around midnight.
Sunday: Stefan woke me up at 8am to go surf Oceanside. Unfortunately, the combo of golf and wakeboarding put my body in no position to go surfing, so I slept in (sleeping in is another hobby of mine :)...). At noon we went and picked up the purchases I absentmindedly left at the store on the shopping spree the day before (duh!), more shopping, dinner, movie, *poof* weekend is gone.
I was supposed to work this weekend. Where did the weekend go?!

4 Shenanigans:
wanna go surf?
Wow, I hadn't read your blog in months and I this confirms I should stay out. It makes me feel sooo bad you actually went wakeboarding on nothing other than THE Carlsbad Lagoon, as mentioned in "Hit It" - pretty the much the very first wakeboarding movie in existance and what got me totally stoked. I now feel much ashamed that the sweet Byerly 137 I bought years back has not even smelled water for 14 months now. I'm officially an ass now, have to go to Thorpe soon (jbwaterski.com FYI - despite having the awful word 'waterski' in their business name, they actually have the raddest slider park of Europe there).
Need butter. Need sliders. You made me a very jaleous boy Summer. When I finally get my ass over to California, can I go wakeboarding with you? You have no idea how I dribbles watching Hit It, 30 Dirty Sports, Shaft, Detention I & II, Ride, 6 Pack and all the other movies, seeing Lake Tahoe, Shasta Dam, Lake Mead. Carlsbad Lagoon and all the other places my heroes invented wakeboarding...
Johan,
We've got room and board, wakeboarding boat and wireless internet access. When will you be arriving ;)?
I can't believe you havn't been in the water in OVER A YEAR. What is wrong with you?!!
Yes, that's the question I'm trying to answer myself... Part of the answer is having too many interests and wanting to be good al those interests which adds up to a lot of time spent on stuff other than wakeboarding. Oh yeah and I don't need to tell you about running a business and its time consumption...
