I'm Moving to Paradise
I've been in Puerto Rico for the past 4 days and I already found my dream house :)! It's unfinished, but that is what we want so that we can finish it to exactly how we want it. Stefan and I put an offer of $250,000 in and it looks like we'll get it for about that.

This house is in Rincon, Puerto Rico and sits on over 2 acres with a stream running through it, lush foliage and HUGE mango trees. This house is also 5 minutes from the beach and world-class surf. The house is two stories with a huge living room, two bedrooms, a bathroom and a kitchen on the 1st floor. The 2nd floor has a large main room and 4 smaller rooms, which will be perfect for our offices, server room and gym. It will take $40,000 to finish the house, but finished it will still be only $300k. Not bad for living in a tropical paradise....

7 Shenanigans:
WOW! You move fast. Let me know what you learn about the offer. How exciting. WAIT! Waaaaa, I miss you already!!!!!
Hope you get your dream house.
Have you checked it out on http://maps.google.com/ yet?
Lovely blue surf from above.
Where are you? Call me even if you dont want to!
construction loans are so much fun!
Once we are done going through all this construction loan and mortgage loan process dilly...we are going to figure out an easy way to streamline this entire process so americans like you can buy real estate with out any hastles in Puerto Rico!
for a small feee :-)
Buyer beware! Especially unfinished houses in those areas. Make sure you speak with the locals, even if you have to find an interpreter. You may find that the house was broken into 10 times in 2 months, or worse.
We are looking at places in the D.R.

Stefan lived in this area for 2 years and has friends that still live there that recommended this house, so I'm not worried at all. We also have two big, very protective dogs, so crime really isn't that big of a worry for us. PLUS, we are getting another pit bull and a boxer once we move in. And, if for some unforsaken reason an intruder made it past the 4 dogs, it would be even worse having to face me...;)
word! i love puerto rico! i want to come visit! i have family near san juan. can i use any more exclamnation marks? yes!
