FBI Busts Florida Cops
The FBI busted four veteran police officers in Florida for taking thousands of dollars to protect a group that the officers thought was a criminal organization. Unfortunately for the police involved, the "criminal organization" was actually an undercover FBI sting and they are now facing life in prison for conspiracy and drug trafficking.
Federal prosecutors said the police officers escorted a load of heroin from Miami Beach, provided security for an illegal poker game aboard a yacht and delivered $1 million worth of supposedly stolen diamonds to New Jersey. Other deals involved purportedly stolen bearer bonds, watches, paintings and a tractor-trailer load of cigarettes.

Sorry for dwelling on my new found disgust for police officers, but I'm SO sick of hearing people say that the police are always right and their victims are always wrong. Especially after reading through the comments left on this news story about a man being beaten/tasered to death by Vista police officers.
