$9,000,000 Dancing Horse
Check out how cool this horse is. Her name is Matine and the rider is Andreas Helgstrand:
How cute is that? That horse is totally dancing! Awwwww....
My mom is a crazy horse person and went to Vegas to see a dressage competition, so she was all excited to see the horse in the video above (Matine). Well, unfortuntately, after the owners of this horse chartered a non-stop flight from Europe for the horse, someone forgot to put down rubber mats and the poor horse slipped and fell while getting off the plane and was unable to compete. Matine was the shoo in to win the competition too, which had a $100,000 prize. How pissed would you be if you chartered a flight for your $9 million horse and some bonehead forgot to put down some rubber mats and injures her?! Luckly she's going to be okay, but she was not well enough to compete in Vegas.
So back to how crazy my mom is. Here she is with the "famous" rider Andreas Helgstrand. My mom's a horse groupie...haha

7 Shenanigans:
I totally understand that nice things cost money, but there is absolutely no-Way that I am going to pay $9M for a friggin' horse...that's gonna die and become glue someday ;-), but that's just me ;-)
Hey, I hear ya on that. I wouldn't pay $10 for a horse, let alone $9,000,000. Now, if my mom's credit card had a $10 million limit, she probably WOULD buy a $9,000,000 horse :D. Crazy women.
And, even crazier, your mom hand painted a carved horse pen to look just like Matine and presented it to Andreas in gold ribbons as the On Q People's Choice Award for Brilliance. (Oh, yeah, that is me, your mom....forgot!)
Robin, you seriously crack me up. Are you sure you're not 53 going on 8? :D
Thanks for the motivation Summer. Words like that REALLY help! I totally cannot stand to dedicate my life to anyone's future by my own. It's disgusting to me how so many people plan their futures based on how a company is doing, then act surprised when the company downsizes, and they lose their houses and their cars. I can't leave my well being in someone else's hands. I just can't!!! I just wish I would have had this train of thought and focus back when I was in college, but then again, better late than never. Photography is ALWAYS gonna be around, and the best part about this craft/field is that I don't have to re-invent the wheel to be a success at it. I just have to be good...which I THINK I am ;-)
Anyway, thanx again ;-)
That horse is so cute! I can't believe how they teach a horse to do stuff like that.
p.s. I listened to that GoGoDancer... oooooooooomg. How awful! It's like... and awful 80's pop song.
Pretty impressive stuff. I liked the tail swishing. This horse has better rhythm than most people.
I would be even more impressed if Matine could moonwalk.
:)
