How is This NOT Child Porn?!

Okay, I'm thoroughly confused. For months, people have been buzzing and blogging about Daniel Radcliffe (a.k.a. Harry Potter) starring in the play "Equus". The big deal is that Harry Potter actor, Daniel Radcliffe, is sheding his squeaky clean image and he's appearing nude in this play. Oh, and "Equus" is a play about Daniel's character's erotic obsession with horses.

So this is where I'm confused. Daniel Radcliffe is a minor. Daniel Radcliffe gets paid to appear nude in a weird beastiality play. How is this NOT child porn?! I understand that this is the art of theater and what not, but after reading all of these creepy chicks blogging/writing about Daniels "wand", "unsheathing" and how they'd like to "be his little play horsey"...EWWWWWW.

Creepy chicks got me wondering: "Isn't this ACTUALLY child pornography?!". So I did a bit of research and from what I came up with, this IS actually child porn. I guess it doesn't matter since he is a boy/almost-man, but if this was an underaged girl, you know people would be freaking out. Right?

The 9/11 Tax

So this new security scanner has just been debuted at the Pheonix airport. It's an x-ray machine that lets security check you out without clothes on. But don't worry! They can't even use the machine on you, as screenings with this x-ray machine are on a voluntary basis. So I guess we should divide the security check point line into "Exhibitionists" and "Normal People & Terrorists"?

IS THIS REALLY WHAT I'M PAYING A 9/11 TAX FOR?! A $100,000 machine that is a total joke?!

It is voluntary to be screened by this x-ray machine that just shows a naked picture of yourself to security. Is someone that is actually trying to smuggle something that would be revealed by this machine ACTUALLY VOLUNTEER?!

Bulbboy might volunteer, but he isn't a terrorist, he just likes to get naked, so I don't see what good it would do at the airport...;)

FBI Busts Florida Cops

The FBI busted four veteran police officers in Florida for taking thousands of dollars to protect a group that the officers thought was a criminal organization. Unfortunately for the police involved, the "criminal organization" was actually an undercover FBI sting and they are now facing life in prison for conspiracy and drug trafficking.

Federal prosecutors said the police officers escorted a load of heroin from Miami Beach, provided security for an illegal poker game aboard a yacht and delivered $1 million worth of supposedly stolen diamonds to New Jersey. Other deals involved purportedly stolen bearer bonds, watches, paintings and a tractor-trailer load of cigarettes.

Sorry for dwelling on my new found disgust for police officers, but I'm SO sick of hearing people say that the police are always right and their victims are always wrong. Especially after reading through the comments left on this news story about a man being beaten/tasered to death by Vista police officers.

Man Tasered by Vista Police Dies

Looks like the police are at it again. This time they killed the guy, I guess I got off easy, since I'm still alive...

http://www.nctimes.com/articles/2007/02/22/news/top_stories/1_02_252_21_07.txt

"VISTA -- The family of Martin Mendoza, an Oceanside man critically injured Sunday when Vista deputies twice used a stun gun during a struggle, turned the life support machines off Wednesday night after doctors told them he showed no brain activity.

"Basically, he's brain dead," said his daughter Jasmine Martinez, as she wiped away tears in the hours before the family turned off the machine. "He had a lot of bleeding to the head."

She said doctors told her they didn't know if the bleeding occurred as a result of Mendoza striking his head on the pavement or from the stun gun. Martinez said doctors told her an autopsy will determine how he died.

San Diego County medical examiner's Investigator James Buckley said Mendoza died at 8 p.m. Wednesday, and that the department had an investigator at the hospital with sheriff's investigators.

The San Diego Sheriff's Department has said deputies responded at 10 p.m. Sunday to a service station at 145 North Emerald Drive after Mendoza called to report that "someone was out to get him."

Sheriff's Lt. Dennis Brugos said no evidence was found to support the man's report that someone was after him.

When deputies tried to talk with Mendoza, he appeared to have some kind of "mental instability" and was placed in the back of a patrol car, Brugos said.

Mendoza allegedly began kicking the rear window, and so deputies took him out to try to restrain him further, Brugos said. Mendoza allegedly struggled with the deputies and one of them used a Taser to try to immobilize him. When that didn't seem to work, he was stunned a second time and then handcuffed and put in the patrol car again. Shortly afterward, deputies noticed he had stopped breathing and began life-saving efforts. Mendoza was taken to Tri-City Medical Center in Oceanside, where he remained until his death.

Martinez said she is concerned because her father had so many injuries including bruising to his arms, legs and cheekbone. She said his arms were swollen, particularly where the handcuffs were, and he had burn injuries from the Taser on his torso and a big gash on his head.

"I think it was unnecessary force," Martinez said. "I feel the cops did way too much. They shouldn't have done what they did. If they thought he was (mentally) unstable, they should have brought him to a hospital to get him evaluated."

The Sheriff's Department started using Tasers after deputies fatally shot three Latino men in separate incidents within five days in the summer of 2005 in Vista. About half of the county's 1,300 deputies have been trained in Taser use so far, officials said.

The Taser delivers a five-second electrical shot that briefly immobilizes most people, although not everyone. The stun gun is commonly described by law enforcement as a "less lethal weapon."

Its use has been questioned in some instances, particularly on people who appear to be mentally unstable or under the influence of drugs.

A nurse told the family that once Mendoza died, they would need to leave the room because the death was being investigated as a homicide and sheriff's and medical examiner's investigators would take over from there. Sheriff's homicide team members were at the hospital to accompany the body to the medical examiner's office.
"

Vista is close to where I live and that is where the jail they threw me in is as well.

Lucky for me, there were about 30 witnesses present when I got attacked by a police officer. Perhaps that's why I'm still alive. The sad thing is that these police officers murdered this guy and will probably get off free as a bird. Why? Because the only witnesses are the police officers that were involved and the guy they killed. It's fucking sick. Police officers are like the mafia, they can do whatever they please, lie about it and skip off into the sunset collecting their paycheck that I pay into.

Perhaps if they got off their fat asses and got into shape, they would be able to do their job. I guess killing people is easier...You wouldn't want that poor cop to strain his back trying to restrain someone!

10 New Careers

I thought this list: "10 Majors That Didn't Exist 10 Years Ago", was interesting, so I wanted note these 10 careers that are somewhat in their infancy:

"New media
Online media is one of the fastest-growing areas of journalism. New media majors combine traditional journalism studies with courses on the design and management of digital media.

Some programs, such as the new media program at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, concentrate on computer skills and design of online media. Other programs, like the one at Indiana University/Purdue University, Indianapolis, integrate communications and digital skills.

Biotechnology
Biotechnology combines biology and technology to solve agricultural, food science, and medical issues. It is an interdisciplinary field and is often combined with a business degree, as in the joint degree program at Johns Hopkins University. Most biotechnology degrees are at the master's level, yet bachelor's degrees in biotechnology, such as the one at Delaware State University, are starting to emerge as this field becomes more in demand.

Related fields include bioinformatics and biomedical engineering.

Organic agriculture
The first organic agriculture program in the United States began at Washington State University (WSU) in 2006. Demand for those knowledgeable in organic agriculture is growing. "Large corporations increasingly are interested in meeting the nation's growing appetite for organic foods [and] are seeking employees who understand organic agriculture systems," says Dr. Cathy Perillo, coordinator of WSU's organic agriculture program, in a press release.

This major is not widespread, but other institutions are looking into adding an organic agriculture degree program, including the University of California, Davis. The University of Florida (an MSN Encarta advertiser) also launched an organic agriculture major in 2006.

Homeland security
New degree programs in homeland security have been established since the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Homeland security majors study everything from psychology to disaster relief and federal law to handling hazardous materials. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security offers scholarships and fellowships for homeland security majors and runs an intensive 18-month degree program at the Center for Homeland Defense and Security.

Homeland security education is expanding rapidly at community colleges. Close to 85 percent of students trained in homeland security-related fields graduate from community colleges, according to the American Association of Community Colleges.

E-business/e-marketing
This field focuses on buying, selling, and marketing items on the Internet and may also include communicating with customers, employees, and business partners. Demand for employees in this field is expected to grow faster than average, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Degree programs in e-marketing are usually in universities' business schools and are more common at the graduate level. Some schools, such as the University of Akron, offer bachelor's programs in e-marketing, while others, like Missouri State University, offer a minor for business students.

Computer game design
Students playing video games in their dorm rooms can now avoid a lecture from their parents by majoring in computer game design. Computer game design programs were nearly nonexistent a decade ago. Today more than 150 colleges offer programs and courses in game design.

Some programs, such as the program in computer games development at DePaul University, focus on the programming of games while others, like the game art and design program at the Art Institute of Phoenix, concentrate on the visual design. Michigan State University is launching a Serious Game Design master's degree program in the fall of 2007 for students with "a desire to create and study games which change the world." The International Game Developers Association offers resources, including a scholarship, for students interested in game design.

Forensic accounting
The controversy surrounding recent corporate scandals has drawn attention to the expanding field of forensic accounting. While it has existed for many years, forensic accounting is now the fastest-growing field of accounting. Forensic accountants are like money detectives--they investigate suspected financial mishandling and assist in legal matters. Forensic accountants must have a broad understanding of business practices beyond standard accounting skills.

Bachelor's degrees in forensic accounting, like the program offered at Franklin University, are required for most careers in this field. Students can also earn a master's degree and post-graduate certificate through a program like the one at West Virginia University (an MSN Encarta advertiser).

Human computer interaction
Human computer interaction (HCI) majors focus on designing ways to improve human experiences and work practices with technology. HCI investigates the impact of technology on individuals and organizations. While courses in this field have been offered since the 1960s, degree programs in HCI have been growing. Human computer interaction majors are usually located in schools of computer science, but studies are multidisciplinary.

Most HCI programs are at the graduate level, such as the program at Iowa State University, but some, including the HCI program at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, have a bachelor's degree program.

Society and the environment
Society and environment majors study the interactions between society and the environment. Degree programs in this field go by slightly different names, like Indiana University's joint environmental science and public affairs degree and Columbia University's climate and society program. Students in these majors apply social science theories to environmental issues. Most programs are at the master's degree level, but programs such as the one at UC-Berkeley offer undergraduate degrees as well.

Nanotechnology
Developments in technology have made it possible to control matter at smaller and smaller levels. The field of nanotechnology works with systems at the molecular level and can be applied across many different disciplines, including physics, engineering, and chemistry. Interest in nanotechnology is growing and is being encouraged by the National Nanotechnology Initiative, organized in 1998. Most nanotechnology programs are at the graduate level, but several programs provide a background in nanotechnology studies, like the bachelor's program in nanosystems engineering at Louisiana Tech University."

Technology, technolgy, technology. This makes me feel secure about my .com bubble NOT bursting and the fact that I could teach quite a few of those courses, makes me very thankful that I got in, when I got in ;)...

LOTS of Aussie Puppies!

My mom just sent me this photo from way back in the day (1993?).

Here is my mom and I surrounded by 3 litters of Australian Shepherd puppies. My mom bred Aussies (On "Q" Australian Shepherds) to feed and clothe her children, so we ALWAYS had a litter or two around. It was actually pretty cool because we would get to play with the puppies when they were the cutest and then send them off ot their new families. Not to mention, that there are approximately $9,000 worth of puppies in this pic...Cha-ching!

The youngest litter of Aussie pups in this pic is on top of the hay stack and they don't even have their eyes open yet (so they are less then 2 weeks old). Too cute.

This photo also serves as photographic evidence as to how I became a crazy dog person...

Fluffy Puppies Make Me Happy

In an attempt to cheer me up, Stefan sent me a link to this video of fluffy little Australian Shepherd puppies:

It worked :).

It reminds me of when Kuta was a puppy. I would carry him around with me everywhere and everyone would ask me if he was a rabbit. He was quite a cute little fluff ball :)...

This Video Made Me Cry

I've been having some issues with human beings and society in general, lately. It's to the point where I honestly think the 90% - 95% of people are conieving, positive-energy-sucking, money grubbing, lazy, wastes of space. I remember when I was a completely positive person and would give the shirt off of my back to help a stranger. It was only a few years ago...

Between people taking advantage of my generosity, liars, thieves and psychos, that I have crossed paths with, I have an extremely poor outlook when it comes to people in general. For a brief moment in time, I thought that maybe it was just me, so I made a concerted effort to make eye contact with strangers and try to be friendly. My social experiment failed...and whenever I make eye contact with a stanger, 95% of the time they want to sell me something or try to get my phone number. It's fucking pathetic. Compound that with the fact that the police officer that tasered me recently told ridiculously bold faced lies on the police report that I recently acquired, it makes me want to puke. The majority of society has zero integrity, morals or even a fucking conscience.

Perhaps that's why this video made me cry...

Howard K Stern is a Prick

I just saw this video of Anna Nicole Smith, 8 months prego, in clown face paint and totally whacked out of her mind. Her lawyer, Howard K Stern is shooting the video, making Anna look like even more of an idiot and verbally relishing how much money the video would make. Oh, and here's the interview that Howard was paid $1Million for:

Come on Howard, you got a million bucks for that. Don't you think you could muster up more then a few fake sobs and one tiny tear?! What a piece of shit...

Luxury Baby Gift - $17,000 Diamond Pacifier

It seems that everyone is having babies lately, so I've been looking for unique baby gifts online (I'm not the "pick a gift from the registry", kind of girl). In my search for the perfect baby gift, I happened upon itsmybinky.com. They specialize in custom pacifiers (I love custom/unique gifts) and I saw this picture of a rhinestone pacifier, so I went to check it out.

Oh boy, those are not rhinestones my friend. That would be a solid white gold pacifier with 278 pave cut diamonds, bearing a price tag of $17,000! Hmmm. A bit out of my baby gift price range...

These diamond pacifiers are made of solid 14K white gold and sparkle with 3 carats of white diamonds. Each pacifier can be customized with colored diamonds and engraving for a one of a kind keepsake. These diamond studded pacifiers have a silicon nipple and moving handle, but they are not recommended for actual use (Um, hello? You mean I shouldn't stick $17,000 in my babies mouth and hope she doesn't spit it out in the mall somewhere?). I wonder if anyone has purchased one of these diamond pacifiers?! Talk about some serious luxury baby bling....

Hand Paintings by Guido Daniele

Artist Guido Daniele did the following paintings, using human hands as his canvas:

Not half bad of an artist, if you ask me ;). He should be a tattoo artist. At least then, his masterpieces wouldn't be washed away after a few hours...

Guido Daniele does other forms of body painting, as well as "traditional" art. You can check out his website, but it is painfully slow.

Paris Hilton Seduces 13 Year Old Boy?

As if the fact that she can't actually sing isn't bad enough...

In Paris Hilton's "music" video for the song "Nothing in this world", she's shown rubbing up on and getting naked in front of a 13 year old boy. Classssssssssssy...

Paris sings the following chorus as she's rubbing up on this kid in her underwear:

"Nothing in this world can stop us tonight. I can do what she can do so much better. Nothing in this world can turn out the light. I'm going to make you feel alright tonight."

Maybe it's just me, but that's just wrong..EWWWWWW.

Cops Love to Taser People

This is just getting ridiculous. First, I got tasered 3 times after a cop threw me on the ground and jumped on my back. Why? Because I called him a "fucking moron". Now Josh Gandy gets tasered by cops for skateboarding. It's so obvious that power tripping cops are using tasers as a form of punishment for people that don't respect them. I just emailed NBC, so hopefully we'll get some more exposure to this total abuse of power by police officers.

Here is the article about Josh getting tasered by SDSU police:

"SAN DIEGO -- A videotaped altercation between campus police and a skateboarder has led to student outrage at San Diego State University. A cell-phone camera captured the end stages of the confrontation,
during which Josh Gandy, 21, who was shocked with a stun gun, can be heard screaming. Video of the incident was posted on YouTube, reported NBC 7/39.

The campus rally held on behalf of the skateboarder was organized by a Carlsbad skateboard shop. "I don't blame any cop, you know, for anything, but [expletive,] you know, there's a difference between having power and using power,"
Gandy told NBC 7/39 on Thursday. Campus police want people who see the video to understand that what they are watching is the end of the incident -- which took place at about 11 a.m. on Tuesday -- and not what led up to it. Officials said that Gandy is not an SDSU student. According to campus police, he became belligerent after refusing to get off his skateboard. The campus does not allow skateboard or bike riding on campus, and there are signs posted throughout the school..
Clearly, however, a lot of students break the rules: NBC 7/39 videotaped several students riding skateboards on campus on Thursday. Campus police said that on Tuesday, however, an officer was asking people to get off their skateboards. They said that about five to 10 people complied, but Gandy did not, they said. Authorities said that a second officer responded after Gandy had been asked to stop skateboarding and that he used the Taser gun in response to what campus police called a perceived physical threat. "The guy became, initially, verbally argumentative, and then a physical confrontation ensued, and then, obviously, somebody captured probably the last 15 seconds of this contact, not the two to two and a half minutes that led up to it," said SDSU police Lt. Bob McManus. One witness NBC 7/39 spoke with disagreed with that assessment. "The skateboarder kind of was making a scene, and you can tell people were starting to come in from everywhere, and it looked like the officer was kind of rattled and kind of just went after the skateboarder," said witness John C. The two officers involved will not be placed on administrative leave while the investigation continues, reported NBC 7/39. Campus police said that skateboarding is one of the major problems on campus and that during the last two years, officers have issued 198
citations.
"

Source

(I like how they say that "skateboarding is one of the major problems on campus". Yeah, what a MAJOR problem...)

How about this one. Cops tasered this kid for refusing to remove his hat at a city counsel meeting. Then they charge him for injuring a police officer because he went into seizures from being shocked and kicked an officers finger.

And, this is a good one. A UCLA student handcuffed and THEN shocked 5 times with a taser gun, for not producing a student ID in the library. UCLA also gives out awards to police officers for using tasers. No, I'm not kidding...

So what do these people have in common, rather then getting tasered by a cop? All of them (Mostafa Tabatabainejad, Summer Hogan, Josh Gandy and Charles Littleton) are young and appear to be "punk kids". I strongly believe that these cops have judged all of these people on their appearances and know that most "punk kids" can't afford to defend themselves. Luckly, I just look like a punk kid. I've already spent $3000 on defending myself and I'm prepared to spend a lot more...

I Want Nike Plus!

Valentines day is coming up and Stefan and I were discussing if we were going to get each other gifts. I'm always the party pooper that says no gifts, because recently I just havn't had the time to think of a really cool gift to give Stefan. So since we decided no gifts, Stefan told me what he was going to get me and now I WANT IT SO BAD! I had never even heard of it before, but I checked it out and I want the Nike+ system!

The Nike+ System is a device that is inserted into the sole of your Nike+ shoes, which synchs with your iPod Nano. This system tracks your run, your progress with multiple runs, calories burned, miles traveled, etc. There is also a Nike+ community where you can make the leaderboards for miles run. You can even challenge people to running! This is perfect for me because I like running, but I LOVE competing ;).

Unfortunately, I don't have the Nike+ shoes ($70 - $115 depending on the style), or the sport kit ($29), OR an iPod Nano ($199 - $249). So, I'll have to pony up $400 to get in gear...Nonetheless, I can't wait! What a fun way to be motivated to workout!
