PRK/LASIK is Driving Me To Drink...

I had laser eye surgey one week ago and I still can't see. I went from being near sighted (before PRK surgery) to being far sighted (immediately after PRK surgery) to being blur-sighted (now, 1 week after PRK surgery). It's REALLY frustrating/annoying/scary.

At least before I could work, but now I can't do shit. No internet (this post is a stretch. Luckly I can type with my eyes closed...), no work, no TV, no movies, no leisurely walks through the garden, no driving, no reading, no surfing, no swimming, no ANYTHING that requires eyeballs. I have been sleeping 15+ hours a day (because there is nothing else I can do) and this experiance has peaked "boring" and is cresting "depressing" at this point...

So tell me, what would you do to pass the time if you were blind(ish)?!

I'd sleep a lot and try to blur the line between reality and dreams.

Holy shit are you serious? That sucks fucking shit! Was your operation a stuff up or was there only a 50 50 chance that it would work ?!?!?!

I am kind of blindish, in my left eye, anyway. A football hit it many moons ago and it bled at the back. After looking through what seemed like a red filter for a day, it went back to normal, or so I thought. My right eye compensated for the bits that went blind on the left side; not great for an artist. =P

Getting wibbly vision in both sides would be no fun at all. I recommend finding a flotation tank. Lying in a dark watery room would be far more relaxing than lying in a darkened bedroom.

Although getting Stefan to drive you to one might not be good for you, bumps in the road might not help matters. Hopefully it will pass really soon. Rest up.

you should definitely go back for a follow-up or call them the doctors and let them know. I know everyone heals at their own pace but when my bf got i done, he saw a little blurry but better by the second day. a weeks after he saw 100% clearly. of course his eyes were sensitive and burned and got tired easily much longer than that but his vision was good. nina

Ohhhhhhh my god! I would be SO pissed if I were you! Tell those doctors what the hell is up!

Something to do when you can't see... I like the books on tape idea. That is, if you don't want to sleep for more than 15 hours a day!

So are you any better?
